RDB and Akon Share the Stage in India

The Bhangra boys in RDB have been around for years now and they have even dominated the Bollywood charts at times. RDB will go down in history for their east meets west fusion with Snoop Dogg, "Singh is King" and for their latest fusion hook-up with R&B star Akon!

Friday night Manj took to twitter to say, "Ready to hit the stage, got Akon performing right now getting the crowd hype. Then we go on and rock that stage. Manj RDB.”

RDB had landed in Delhi to perform for a private event. Both RDB and Akon were requested to perform at this event and Manj told DesiHits!, "Delhi’s always given us lots of love, we rocked the crowd and it’s always great to be with the whole team, Akon was great as always. It’s always fantastic seeing east and west blending."

Sounds like quite a memorable event. Though there is no official news on a collaboration, were hoping to hear from this interesting fusion hook-up soon. What do you think of the possibility of Akon teaming up with RDB? Leave us your thoughts below.

Movie Review: Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?

The Story:

"Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?" is a story that can be predicted from the title. Puneet (Ajay Devgan) is a writer who lives in Mumbai with his wife Munmun (Konkona Sen Sharma). Puneet is living his dream as he has been presented the opportunity to write a film. Munmun is a creative interior designer. She treasures her family and wants to instill great family values in her son.

This happy family, who just got their lives on track, suddenly get a visit by a distant relative, Chachaji (Paresh Rawal), who needs a place to stay. Munmun never turns her back on family and welcomes Chachaji into her house.

But things take a turn as Chachaji stays longer than expected. Drama ensues. Puneet and Munmun try every which way to get rid of their houseguest, packing in plenty laughs. Will Chachaji ever leave?

What Worked:

The story is relatable and connects with the audience. The situations are ridiculous and quite hilarious! With Munmun's devotion to family values and the continuous reference to religion, the movie stays constant with themes throughout the story.
What Didn't:

As with many Bollywood movies, "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?" can seem long at times. Some scenes were unnecessary and ran tangent to the main plot, which diluted the fun.
The Soundtrack:

The music to the film compliments the story line with a number of devotional tracks. Pritam does not deliver any dance numbers for the charts, but his music compliments the film quite well.
Slated or Rated:

"Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?" is a movie packed with laughs and relatable scenes. We recommend it to all families. Ajay Devgan delivers his eccentric character quite well, adding to the credibility of the story.

Video: Blitz, Roach Killa, and Juggy D in the Studio

Urban Desi artists Blitz and Roach Killa have collaborated time and time again. The two have recently found themselves in the studio working with Bhangra artist Juggy D! With so many creative minds in one space, their studio session went on till 4 in the morning!

Things got quite interesting as the boys started winding down and singing Bollywood tunes. Roach starts singing "Meri Mehbooba" from Shahrukh Khan's film "Pardes" and Juggy D and Blitz join right in.

LA Lakers Player Ron Artest's Hair Says 'Defense' in Hindi!

The National Basketball Association has not only become a platform for competitive basketball, it has also become a platform for style.

For years we have been admiring players' customized sneakers, slick suits, amazing bling, incredible tattoos and even hairstyles.

Most recently, LA Lakers player Ron Artest made a statement with his hair; Sunday evening, the LA Lakers played against the Orlando Magic and Ron Artest came to the court donning platinum blonde hair with purple accents.

But he coolest thing of them all, Ron had the word "defense" written in Hindi, Japanese, and Hebrew!

G-Town Desi Drops 'Peerh' Video

Scottish band G-Town Desi is made up of five individuals all creating a unique Bhangra sound. Having teamed up and having over 15 years of club scene experience collectively, G-Town Desi is making its debut with a video for "Peerh."

The video was shot in Glasgow; it has plenty of hot girls, cute guys, and smooth rides. Despite the traditional Punjabi folk flavors, G-Town Desi have added a splash of 2010 to their sound and reflected it in the choreography for the video.

With a dance off in the rain, we can't help but to think of a "Step-Up" influence.Their debut album is titled "1134."

Video: 'Dancing on Ice' Couple Rocks the Ice Rink to 'Jai Ho'

If you thought the "Slumdog Millionaire" craze was over, think again! "Dancing on Ice" contestants Hayley Tamaddon and Daniel Whiston rocked the ice rink to "Jai Ho" on the popular U.K. TV show the other day, and they were a huge hit!

The ice skating pair amazed the audience and the jury alike as they received the perfect score dancing to A.R. Rahman’s and the Pussycat Dolls’ remix of the hit single "Jai Ho" from the 2008 Oscar winning movie.

The dancing couple was up against other pairs rocking out to music from "Pulp Fiction" and "Grease" but the "Jai Ho" couple was the only one to reach perfection!

DH! Exclusive Interview: Imran Khan is Excited About the UK AMAs

Imran Khan has sung his way in to the hearts of many! His album, "Unforgettable," has dominated the charts and is now up for Best Album at the UK AMAs. Imran is also nominated for Best Desi Act, Best Male Act, and his video for "Amplifier" has been nominated for Best Video.

With so much success in so little time, we would think that Imran would take a second to sit back and enjoy it all, but instead he's traveling the world and working on his second album! We caught up with Imran Khan to get the dish on his latest ventures.

DH!: You are nominated for four UK AMA awards this Thursday and it is your first time being nominated, how does it feel?
Imran: I am very happy. My family is happy as well. My friends are going to come to the show too.

DH!: With a clothing line in the works, we are curious as to what you will be wearing at the UK AMAs yourself.
Imran: A kacha (underwear) [he laughs] no, no no. I was thinking of wearing a suit again.

DH!: We are all eager to hear what you have in store for us next. Will you be shooting another video for your album "Unforgettable?"
Imran: Yes, the next track is "Pata Chalgea." I will be shooting the video in America, in L.A. I think. While I am on tour I will be working on shooting the video.

DH!: You have traveled the world, what have been some of the most memorable places you have visited?
Imran: Canada, because I didn't know that I had a big following there. When I did my performance it surprised me because they were all singing my songs with me, I didn't expect it. Second is Malaysia for the same reasons. There is a great distance between them, yet they were all listening to my songs.

DH!: Where are you off to next on your tour?
Imran: I'm going to the U.K., Denmark, then going to be touring the U.S. in April. Looking forward to it!

DH!: So onto the next venture, have you had time to work on your second album?
Imran: I have already completed five tracks!

Imran told us that he has named these tracks and has a potential name for his sophomore album, but he's not ready to reveal any of that information to us yet.

DH!: When you go out in public, people are starting to recognize you, do they approach you for autographs?
Imran: I get recognized in shopping centers, supermarkets.

DH!: Does it ever bother you, as though people are intruding into your personal life?
Imran: Not really, I don't have a private life; this is my private life.

DH!: Have you ever been in a situation where you have been approached or even mobbed by a group of girls?
Imran: In London once, a group of girls ripped my clothes. They said they would buy me a new shirt, but I am still waiting [He laughs].

Imran Khan is busy as can be with a worldwide tour, upcoming video shoot, attending awards shows, creating a clothing line, and working on his second album! We wish Imran Khan the best of luck with all his projects.

The lucky cricket players in Kolkata Knight Riders are in for a treat as they will receive first-class entertainment during their Indian Premier League matches at Eden Gardens next month.

Shahrukh Khan has promised to cheer on his team as they play seven games in the IPL’s third edition:

"I will sing, I will dance, I will be there to cheer up the boys," King Khan recently told reporters.

And this is not the first time that SRK supports his team all the way as he went to South Africa last year to cheer on his beloved Kolkata Knight Riders!
